Riverside Café · Small Town

A café where people keep turning up.

Bridge Street, seventy guests during a busy lunch, one espresso machine that everybody has an opinion about. The schedule is written in pencil for a reason. You're a few weeks into front of house, still learning who means what they say.

  • Small town, one café
  • Four people you'll keep meeting
  • Eight connected Workdays

Who you work with

The same four people, shift after shift. Nobody here is the villain and nobody is always right.

Maya

Manager

Capable and mostly fair, and carrying more than she shows. When the schedule breaks she asks fast and doesn't always ask well.

Jordan

Experienced coworker

Funny, confident, generous with advice about how things really work here. Right often enough that it's hard to tell when they're wrong.

Priya

Coworker

Meticulous and quiet. Notices everything, says about a third of it. What's going on outside work shapes what she can say yes to.

Sam

Owner

In maybe two days a week. Warm, straightforward, and always doing sums in his head about whether this month works.

The story so far
