It's the third week of October. The ferry runs once a day now instead of three. You've had two tables since eleven this morning: an elderly couple who stayed ninety minutes over two coffees, and a man on his laptop who left forty minutes ago.
The dining room is silent except for the ice machine. Marisol is folding napkins into a shape that doesn't need to be that precise. Wyatt is behind the bar, restocking the same shelf he restocked yesterday.

This is basically what November's going to be like. Every day.
You have four more hours on the clock and, right now, genuinely nothing that needs doing.
