Harrow Plain Packhouse
For eight weeks a year the packhouse runs a second line and the whole district's clock is set by trucks and the weighbridge. You stand at a moving belt sorting and boxing produce to a hygiene standard that doesn't bend, next to people who arrived this week from three different countries. Shifts hand over mid-run. Supervisors are timing everything against a truck that leaves whether the line is ready or not, and the crew is mostly strangers to each other and, at first, to you.

Sent out by the agency in Kesterly, on her fourth different worksite this year. Quick, quiet, and careful about which problems are worth raising when the assignment could simply end early instead.

Forklift and weighbridge
Been at Harrow Plain longer than the second line has existed. Genuinely wants the crew to get home on time and will cut a corner to make that happen before he'll cut one for any other reason.
